ASSET Project

ASSET stands for Accelerating and Strengthening Skills for Economic
Transformation. It is a scholarship based technical Education Program run by
Ministry of education(MoE), implemented by Directorate of Technical
Education(DTE) and Financed by The World Bank & Bangladesh Government
jointly. The criteria & eligibility as follows:
1. Educational qualification : Min Class Eight
2. Age : 18-45 Years
3. Must have NID
4. Course Duration : 04 months
5. Certification by : National Skill Development Authority(NSDA)
6. Course Starts : 1 st Batch July- October and subsequent
7. Course Offered : a. Automotive Mechanics

b. Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
c. Machine Shop Practice
d. Welding
e. Consumer Electronics
8. Stipend & Allowance : a. Tk 1500/ month / Student
b. Conveyance Tk 100/ Class Day

9. Attendance in Class : More than 90%. Attendance will be ensured by
Biometric Machine ( Finger Print & Face
Recognition Camera)

10. Monitoring : Training will be closely Monitored by Project
