The BN Dockyard Technical Institute’s Academic Council executed by five members. The institute's Principal holds the position of President within the council. The council includes a Member representing the Executive Officer of BN Dockyard, as well as Members for the Officer-in-Charge of the Plater & Welding Shop and the Officer-in-Charge of the Heavy Electrical Shop. The Vice Principal also serves as a Member Secretary for the Academic Council. The composition of the Academic Council is as follows:
